Coral Browne bio
Coral Browne was born Coralie Edith Brown, 23 July 1913, Melbourne, Australia, and died Los Angeles 29 May 1991. Vincent Price was her second husband (1974). Her first (1950) was Philip Pearman, who died in 1964.
Coral Browne and I were second cousins. Coral's grandfather, William Bennett, born 24 March 1869, Scotchmans, Victoria, was the elder brother of my grandmother, Christina Bennett, born 2 February 1880, also at Scotchmans (near Ballarat). William Bennett's daughter Victoria married Leslie Clarence Brown, who died 13 October 1957: Coral was their only child. I visited Vicky in London in 1968. On another personal note, I saw Coral in Joe Orton's What the Butler Saw in London in 1969.
