Ingle Knight: Actor

Crystal ClearKickstarting his career with a three year season as Joseph in his school Nativity Play, Ingle Knight has since appeared in over forty professional theatre productions. Highlights include:

David Allen's Cheapside in which the extraordinary difference between his performances as Christopher Marlowe and Shakespeare prompted the Sunday Times critic to suggest that he be treated for advanced schizophrenia.

Crystal Clear: for which he was nominated for a Gold Swan Award.

Of his performance as Antonin Artaud in Artaud at Rodez the National Times said 'he achieves greatness'.

And in Terry Johnson's Dead Funny (brought back to the Regal Theatre for a second season by public demand) he took off all his clothes; which for some reason caused hilarity among the thousands of people lucky enough to see it.

TV appearances include roles in Sons and Daughters, The Restless Years and Prisoner, in which, as 'Grub' the bikey drug-pusher, he initiated a major break-out.

He was a regular on the ABC's Maths Break playing dozens of characters from thick-witted cavemen to Pythagorus and even Australia's greatest super-hero: 'Captain Koala'.

And another thick-witted character: Kawolsky, the useless security guard, for 26 episodes of Barron Film's Ship to Shore.

Despite all these achievements Ingle is probably most recognisable as the coconut-dodging accident-prone tourist in the long running HBF travel insurance commercials.
