The Copper family: gigs

Copper Family engagements (latest first)
12 November 2002, Two Strands of the Folk Tradition Come Together
Two strands of the folk tradition intertwine at Cecil Sharp House on Tuesday 12 November 2002 when Peggy Seeger, in the company of the Copper Family, kicks off the English branch of her forthcoming tour. Peggy unites the singing of the old songs with the creation of the new through a performing style shaped by nearly fifty years of experience. The Coppers epitomise a family tradition of singing handed down through the ages and honed to a unique style. Together they represent all that is best about the folk revival of the twentieth century and will be seen on the same platform for the first time in many years. Tickets are 10 and available in advance from Cecil Sharp House 9am-5pm (020-7485 2206). The concert will start at 7.30pm. Bar and refreshments will be available throughout.
