On 31 January 2008, slipping with wet feet in my hallway, I tore the quadriceps tendon off the top of my left patella. I called Katherine and then Eleanor, in case they had to pick me up off the floor. Katherine called an ambulance. After they got me in the back, it occurred to me that I had my camera with me, so I took a photo from where I was lying, with Katherine and Eleanor and the driver.
Five and a half years later, by an amazing coincidence, I met the woman in the photo again. So this is for you, Jo. Thanks for your help!
Also, for Susie, to show that I have been to Greenwich, this is a photo of Katherine (who is on the left above) that I took at the Royal Observatory in 1997.
