Margaret Henderson, born Shetland, 4 September 1812 (SR) - died 1886 Port Campbell, Victoria
Arthur and Margaret are said to have had sixteen children including several sets of twins. Only nine survived. Of the surviving children six (italicised) came to Australia. The children were Agnes, Barbara, James, John, Peter, Arthur, Margaret, Robert and William Adie.

James apparently worked his passage to Australia, arriving in Sydney about 1865, and travelling overland to join his father in Victoria.
Frances Halls came to Australia in 1867 on the John Temperly with Agnes, Arthur and Margaret - and became friendly with them.
James and Frances had eight children: John and Abbott Arthur (born Darlington 1869 and 1871) Frederick (born Cobden 1873) Frances Manson (born Ellerslie 1876) James Need (born 1877 either Ellerslie or Woodford/Warrnambool) William De Witt (born Port Campbell 1879) Alice (born 1885) and Miriam Baeyertz (born Cobden 1887).
